Christian Antonio Villalba

 

C.A. Villalba is President and Executive Producer of Ruka Productions, a premier New York City production company specializing in Special Events and Special Projects.  Christian has been producing educational and advocacy programming, publicity reels, fundraising events, and corporate video work since 1994. Having worked in both television and film, Christian has over 12 years experience working with Public Broadcasting Service, Fox News, CBS, The Montel Williams Show, as well several national Public Relations and Communications firms.

 

Cybel Martin

Cybel Martin is the Vice President of Creative Affairs/Strategies for Ruka Productions.  Known for her stylistic and expressive work, Ms Martin is the first and only African American woman to receive a MFA in Cinematography from New York University. Her films have garnered praise at Sundance, Tribeca Film Festival, Berlin, IFP Spirit Awards and the honor of dedicated screenings at the Smithsonian, Library of Congress and Museum of Natural History. Her commercial work includes promos for Sony Music, PBS, AIDS Walk, Mecca Bros and Body by Milk. In addition, Ms. Martin brings 15 years of advertising and promotion experience. She orchestrates at least four events per year that connect emerging artists and restaurants with the desired trendsetters and influencers of the music, film, fashion and journalism industries.

Magdalena Maldonado

Magdalena Maldonado is the Executive Producer and Creator of Ruka Productions' current untitled documentary project exploring the world of child abuse and neglect. With shocking statistics such as "1 in every 5 girls and 1 in every 10 boys will be sexually victimized before they reach adulthood." and "One report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds." This documentary is determined to shed light on a variety of issues dealing with and surrounding the safety and welfare of children.

Ms. Maldonado says "I believe anything can be overcome, so long as people are willing to commit themselves to change --  and there’s nothing more powerful than awareness, prevention education, and a connection to the universal stories told by survivors of child abuse -- that  help create social change... this is the intention we aspire to express in our doc."

With over 17 years of experience in Public Television, Ms. Maldonado brings her production confidence to the frontlines of the war against child abuse and neglect.
